Denton County Fresh Water Supply District # 7 receives an upgraded bond rating due to continued financial performance and rapidly growing tax base.
Citing a rapidly growing tax base coupled with strong financial performance resulting in healthy reserves Moody’s Rating service recently upgraded Denton County Fresh Water Supply District # 7 (DCFWSD # 7) bond rating to A3 from a comparable Baa3. The district will be able to save taxpayer dollars through lower interest rates from this jump of three bond rating levels.
DCFWSD # 7’s bond A3 rating is a result of years of strong financial planning by the boards and staff of the district said the district’s General Manager Kevin Mercer. This did not happen overnight and was a strong dedication and focus by the entire team.
