Independence Day Info

As you may recall, the Association sent out a letter in February of this year regarding the use of fireworks over New Years. Lantana residents were the cause of many fires on New Year’s Eve by igniting fireworks within the community. The Developer and the Board believe that the safety and well being of all residents is a top priority.  Accordingly, the Developer decided to implement change by way of a new amendment to the governing HOA documents that prohibits the use fireworks in Lantana.

According to Article IX, Section 9:16 of the Declarations of Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions “It is specifically prohibited, without exception whatsoever, to use, discharge, fire or shoot fireworks of any kind within the Lantana Property . . . The violation of this Section may result in the imposition of fines and the suspension of the right to use and enjoy the Common Properties including the amenity centers, swimming pools and exercise facilities.” A complete copy of this amendment can be found online at Lantanalive.com in the Resource Center.

Please be aware off duty sheriff deputies will be patrolling the community on July 4thto assist residents in complying with the new rule and reporting offender names to the HOA the following business day. We appreciate your cooperation in celebrating Independence Day in a safe and responsible manner.

Also, in observance of the 4th of July, the front yard mowing schedule will be adjusted to mow Tuesday’s schedule on Monday and Wednesday’s schedule on Tuesday with no mowing services on Wednesday, July 4th. Services will resume as normal on Thursday July 5th.
