Denton County Fresh Water Supply District 6/7 & Development District 4 consist of a county development district and two Fresh Water Supply Districts. Development districts and Fresh Water Supply Districts are local, governmental entities that provide limited services to its customers and residents, depending on the district’s type. These political subdivisions are endowed with the functions, powers, authority, rights and duties that will permit them to accomplish the purpose for which they were created by the Texas Legislature.
Fresh Water Supply District # 6 and # 7 are governed by a publicly elected board of directors. These boards function similar to a city council and make all key decisions regarding district operations.
Fresh Water Supply District # 6 (FWSD #6) meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 2650 FM 407 E Suite 125, Bartonville, Texas 76226.
